Using Canterbury Taxis Ltd.

By using our website and telephone service you are agreeing to certain terms & conditions. For the avoidance of doubt we have made it as clear as possible to understand by simplification. If you have any problems or questions please contact us at accounts@canterburytaxis.com.

Please note: we record our calls for training, resolving disputes and monitoring purposes only. We are a registered data controller with the Information commissioner’s office.

For more information on the security of your information please visit ico.org.uk. We do not share your information with anyone outside our company. We also do not track your location data at any stage.

Your Quotation

All quotes are given based on all available information, submitted via our webform, email or by telephone. If there is any information that was not available at the time of the request, then the quote can either be increased or decreased accordingly, solely at our discretion. Currently we operate our pricing based on the Canterbury City council tariff. This does not include fixed or agreed fares at any stage.

Your Booking

Once you accept our quotation then you can book in one of three ways only:

Booking via our webform, email or by telephone will immediately form our contract. This is legally binding in accordance with English Law.

Your Other Details

All details provided will form the basis of our service to you. Some examples of other details:

  • Do you need a saloon, estate or MPV or wheelchair accessible vehicle?
  • Do you need a collecting from the airport? Therefore a flight number is required.
  • Is it simply that you need assistance carrying your bags when you arrive?
  • All of these factors are important to let us know about when making your booking.

Your Changes to a Booking

This can be done at any time with the consent of the company and at agreed extra costs to be decided solely by the company at the time dependent on the changes.

Your Pricing

Currently we operate our pricing based on the Canterbury City council tariff. This does not include fixed or agreed fares at any stage. If there is any information that was not available at the time of the request, then the quote can either be increased or decreased accordingly, solely at our discretion. Car parking charges that are necessarily incurred in order to fulfil a booking will be charged at cost except where this cost is incorporated into our Airport Meet & Greet service charge. Any variations to the journey that involves extra time or mileage may be subject to additional charges. Congestion charge and T-charge will be chargeable extra to any agreed fare.

Your Payment

Payments on your bank or card statement will show as “Canterbury Taxis Ltd.” Account payments are placed on your invoice and will attract VAT. Cash payments- receipts are given only from the driver who carries out journey.

Your Cancellations or Refunds

  • If Cancelled Within Canterbury area, if over 60 minutes notice given; Full amount will be refunded.
  • If Cancelled Within Canterbury area, if less than 60 minutes notice given, No Refund will be given.
  • If Cancelled Outside Canterbury area, if over 90 minutes given, Full amount will be refunded.
  • If Cancelled Outside Canterbury are if less than 90 minutes notice given; No Refund given.
  • If the passenger does not appear or no contact is made to us on 01227444444 at the booked time at the designated pick-up point, we will make full charge for the journey.
  • This refund policy is the discretionary limits of refunds for paid and confirmed bookings.
  • Refunds are solely given at the discretion of the company as a goodwill gesture.
  • There is no obligation on our company to refund once a booking has been confirmed and paid, as a legal contract has been created and the service has begun at that point.
  • The price given and paid for at the time, is in effect a price based on a fixed time of travel at a fixed cost.
  • This can only be refunded or changed at the discretion of the company within the terms of our Refund policy.
  • We reserve the right to charge to cover any subsequent administrative expenses, that may result from cancellation, if outside these time frames, up to the full value of the journey.
  • Our bookings cancellation policy reflects the availability of the vehicles in our fleet.
  • Please bear in mind upon acceptance of your booking, we reserve the availability of the vehicle for you exclusively Therefore, subsequently refuse all other bookings for that vehicle at that time and on that date.
  • This policy is designed to be fair minded to both parties.
  • Upon booking on our website, you are entering into a legal contract, which is governed by English law.
  • We aim to make this process clear and fair to all who may use the service.

Your Disputes

On rare occasions disputes do arise and we ask that first the dispute is brought to our attention in writing to account@canterburytaxis.com. We will respond within 5 working days in writing and if you are still unhappy about the resolution, we will then refer your case to the local authority for investigation. We aim to resolve all disputes internally.

Complaints

Please put any complaints in writing to accounts@canterburytaxis.com. We treat complaints in the same way as disputes.
